你们两人一直以最大的勇气和献身精神不屈不挠地面对官方的威胁和骚扰。现在虽然你没有了丈夫的帮助，但你绝不孤独。在整个中国和世界，你和其他天安门母亲都有强有力的支持者。你的丈夫将不会被遗忘，他勇敢的行动，将伴随着你在朝向中国人民摆脱其残忍的领导人的漫长道路上一路前行。

我对你非常钦佩；对你痛失亲人深感悲痛和同情。

Dear Friend,
As always my thoughts are with you but now especially as I learn of the death of your husband whom you joined in diligent struggle to force the Chinese leaders to acknowledge the truth of the Tiananmen massacre, to make amends and to compensate the victims and their families.

With utmost courage and dedication you both have persevered in the face of official threat and harassment. Now you are without your husband’s help but by no means alone. Throughout China and the world, you and the other Tiananmen Mothers have strong supporters. Your husband will not be forgotten, his courageous actions, along with your own, will go a long way towards liberating the Chinese people from the ruthlessness of their leaders.

My admiration for you is abundant as is my sorrow and sympathy for your sad loss.
